GEORGE MOSS

Drawing since the age of 6 years old, George Moss aka Gmoss, has been developing his drawing skills. He grew up watching animations like Thundercats, Robotech, Mighty Orbots, and  GI Joe.  George enjoyed watching Sci-Fi and Fantasy films. He also listened to positive hip hop, R&B, Jazz, and other styles of music. These are some of the influences that have helped shape his illustration and design style. He creates 2d cartoon character and realistic illustrations.

George designs unique products, and also writes and illustrates novels for teens and adults.  He graduated with honors and a Commercial Art Degree from International Fine Arts College, which is now known as Miami International University of Art & Design.

He worked as a technical illustrator and a freelance assistant technical designer for Perry Ellis International in Miami, Florida.  While he was there, George increased his drawing skills and this experience helped shape his character. Through his experience at Perry Ellis, and other fashion companies in Miami, he grew in the industry to become a product developer, an assistant technical designer, and a senior creative apparel/technical designer.

George now shares his unique line of art, clothing, and accessories based on his illustrated sci-fi novel – “The Chronicles of Ann & Lo™”. His story was created to encourage the young and older generation to seek their purpose and use their talents to uplift their communities.

He has taught his Gmoss Product Development Workshop at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, the Broward County Main Public Library in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Mandel Library in West Palm Beach, Florida, the Geeki Girls Gathering Conference at Florida International University, the African-American Research Library and Cultural Arts Center, the North Miami Beach Library, the Miami-Dade Regional Library in Miami Gardens, Florida, PalmCon Comic Convention in West Palm Beach, Florida, middle schools, high schools, and other organizations in the United States.

2024 – Gmoss Designs, LLC received a Proclamation from the City of North Miami Beach for creating and organizing Beyond Comicon. Article from Bold Journey.

2024 – Received a “Award of Excellence for Exemplary Public Service” From The Hogges, Cowins & Smiley Writers Group of South Florida.

2023 – Founder of Artist’s & Author’s Journey™, a creative artistic and literary exhibition featuring the writings, artworks, and journey of exceptional artists and authors from various cultures and backgrounds.

2022 – Co-Founder of Beyond Comicon™, a Comic Book, Fashion, and Creators Convention. 

2019 – Appointed Assistant Vice President (Director of Media & Publicity) for The Ralph Hogges and Ben Cowins Writer’s Group of South Florida

2018 – Pioneers of Change A Celebration of Black History Art Exhibit January 6 – February 24 2018 in Sunrise, FL.
